Mill Watt (she/they)

BA (Hons), MSc, MBACP

Education

After completing three years of prior counselling training, I studied an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, which included a research thesis into the mental health of autistic university students. My first degree was in English Literature, and this fostered my creativity in finding language for things which can otherwise seem impossible to put into words. I have a long-standing personal practice of meditation and mindfulness. The written word, spiritual philosophy, and psychology have all supported my understanding of how to be closely with the internal world of others.

Experience

I completed my professional placement at a local counselling service based in Kidderminster. I have worked as a crisis helpline volunteer, and as a project coordinator for a counselling agency. Prior to my training as a counsellor, I worked in public libraries for over 10 years.

I identify as neurodivergent and queer, and reflect regularly on how these identities intersect for me personally. I may refer to my life experiences as a relational support in therapy, whilst exploring the unique configurations of identity within each person.

Member Organisations

I have an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I am a registered member of the BACP.

I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and maintain regular monthly clinical supervision. I am actively engaged with difference, diversity and equality, and aim to make space for diverse perspectives on what it means to be human.
